"Freak Out" is being released in celebration of its 60th anniversary as a Super Deluxe Edition comprising 5 black LPs and much more.
The 5-LP box includes the previously unreleased 2-LP pre-master mix, the long out-of-print 2-LP mono master mix, an LP featuring highlights from the 60th Anniversary Super Deluxe box set, including live recordings from The Fillmore in San Francisco (1966) and Mothers demos, an expanded booklet with rare photographs, new essays, a very special new section with even more "Relevant Quotes," the original double-sided fold-out "Freak Out!" hot-spots map by Frank Zappa, and a lithographic print.
