by Matthias Mineur (null) Surprise! I guess this word can't impress a single Metallica fan anymore since the band has actually flooded us with surprises in the past couple of years: either image changes (from long-haired metal heads to buzz-cut dressmen-lookalikes, from trash-pioneers to a rock band which records a song with Rolling Stones-companion Marianne Faithful) or musical experiments. Each dress seems to fit! Same with the concept behind "Garage Inc." Metallica goes coverrock! 27 songs on 2 CDs from 1984 to 1998 among which you'll find treats like: "Blitzkrieg" (Blitzkrieg), "Am I evil" (Diamond Head), "Stone cold crazy" (Queen), "Tuesday's gone" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) or "Loverman" (Nick Cave). The first single "Whisky in a jar" (Thin Lizzy) has already enjoyed intense airplay on all music channels. Now, who is this album made for? For fans? Most certainly yes! For rocklovers? Yep! Everything seems perfect, just don't take this garageband too serious, do you?
