by Matthias Mader (03.04.2007) Like some a musician and producer discovered Pro-Tools for himself, many graphic artist only work on their computers these days, too. Which is a pity because the New Yorker cult drawer, Sean Taggart (Agnostic Front, Crumbsuckers, Carnivore) appears like a shadow of himself with the artwork for "Ghettoblaster". Far from it the band! The Hoods rock themselves through 12 old school killer highlights! With "The king is dead" and "Ernie Cortez", they also included two live recordings. Classic Hatecore of the finest kind, somewhere between SFA's masterpiece "The new morality" and "Ambitions make way for dread" of the no less legendary Darkside NYC. Musical variation is provided by "Willie Nelson and a twelve pack", a Bluesy Hardcore track setting new standards, as well as the rocky "Don't fight, let's party tonight". For the rest, the foot remains on the speed pedal like it has to be on a traditional Hardcore album!
