by Oliver Kube (03.02.2009) Tjhe spherical and groovy advance single "Dance with somebody" already hinted at it: with this fifth album, the leather jacket five release their most ambitious output so far. Maybe because they hired a HipHopper as co-producer (Salla from the Latin Kings), or maybe the band has matured and is ready to change their musical direction... Bur don't worry, dear fans of that classic Mando Diao sound: there'll be no Rap attacks, nor will the band bore you with average chart stuff. As usual, stomping beats, a cascading organ, a gnarly guitar plus all the other trademarks dominate their sound. You doubt that? Ok, just listen to "Come on, come on" or the terrific "Blue lining"... But singer Björn Dixgård & Co. also act more versatile than before: "The shining" could be taken from a Beatles album (one of their middle period), "Mean street" could be a missing Merseybeat gem, and "High heels" would make a wonderful theme song for a James Bond movie featuring Sean Connery...
