by Ralf Koch (18.01.2008) Lust for great, phat Hardrock? The British band with the characteristic name, Burn, knows how to burn a thrilling mixture on "Global warning" that should enthuse and capture every fan of this genre. Eleven songs that cover the whole range of this genre form the acoustic intro to the pumping hitter and at the same time at every second sound original and authentic. Yet, they don't go for experiments that after all nobody would be wanting, anyway. Of course, cross references to, e.g. Whitesnake would be possible but not obligatory because they are only short elements among others. Singer Jeff Ogden has a brilliant Hardrock-voice, the two guitarists set fantastic accents, discreet keyboards enrich the sound without watering it and there is nothing that you could reproach to these guys. They have done everything right! So, now up for another one… because, by the way, the guys have tried it before in the 90s before they mysteriously vanished after two good records.
