    Abendlied

The majority of the band members have previously colaborated as "Erben der Schöpfung" causing some stir with their debut album, "Twilight". Under a new name and with some new faces in the line-up (without Oliver Falk ) they proceed under the guidance of Sabine Duenser on vocals. Musically, they are close to the style of "Erben der Schöpfung": fine riffs, female vocals. Yet, the electronics have increased heavily, "Such A Long Time" begins with a purely Synth-(pop)-intro and culminates in a driving, straight-forward rock song. Maybe Sabine's voice is a bit heavier, less ethereal and more in the background in comparison to "Twilight". This way the well-composed and superbly arranged tracks come forward a bit. With Alexander Krull (Atrocity) they had a professional at the mixing console. Like on "Twilight", Elis again set a poem by the expressionist, Georg Trakl to music: this time it's the rough "Abendlied" that was strangely and uniquely interpreted by the band from Liechtenstein. Beautiful! (Sonja Angerer - 03/07)
