by Holger (null) The waiting is over! Now each Hellacopters fan can decide for him-/or herself if Dregen's withdrawal from the band was a progress or not. This is my side of the story: Stylisticaly everything stays the same. Although the material didn't make me go as apeass as the stuff on the two predecessors "Grande rock" still is ass kicking rock'n'roll. Influences from Iggy Pop, AC/DC, the Stones and definitely Kiss (listen to the Chorus of "Lonely") mixed with a spoon of garage punk make the album varied and catchy. "Grande rock" are 12 (LP 13) songs which perfectly fit the future rock'n'roll category which is led by bands like Turbonegro (R.I.P.) and Gluecifer. The only thing left to say is: Dregen is gone, but who cares?
