by Andreas Reissnauer (July 2004) In the course of their re-union and the upcoming new - their sixth - studio album, the former label of Lake Of Tears takes the changes and releases two best-of records of the Swedes. It may have been smarter to call it a double album or shorten it to a single album, but anyway. What lies in front of me is two separate cds with a total of 21 songs allowing a fine overview on the work of the band so far. And it is interesting to see how fast the guys around mainman Daniel Brennare have progressed. In times of their debut, "Greater art" they were a successful part of the booming gothic metal scene and from then on developed their own style while more and more opening to other musical styles. Especially the psychedelic rock music of the 60s and 70s became part of their music on the later "Forever autumn" and "The neonai". Nice that they are back! (Andreas Reissnauer - July 2004)
