by Jürgen Tschamler (21.07.2008) With "Grind bastard" (1998), Benediction even topped their high class previous albums. On the plate: almost flawless speedy Death Metal. As is typical of British Death Metal, they don’t make any prisoners, yet surprise with two cover songs: Twisted Sister’s "Destroyer" and a less than perfect version of Judas Priest`s "Electric eye" - apart from those, the album is brilliant. This rerelease contains three live tracks. 2001, after a break of thre years, "Organized chaos" was released – the band was at its best. Nobody had thought that the Brits would be able to create an album which steamrollers you with its fat and hefty deathly grooves. New vocalist Dave Hunt is brimming over with aggression and hate, and it’s these emotions which turn the songs into real deadly missiles. The predecessors always had this or that mistakes - "Organised chaos" is perfect. keiner. Benediction have always delivered high quality stuff, but this package is a definite must-have in any given Death Metal collection.
