Alone the album title, "Hammer battalion" sounds promising and the album is farer from any moments of disappointment than a grim Viking from voluntary cloister donations. The unmistakable dramatic quartet has gone its way for two decades now – and that is absolutely rare in this genre. So it is both an honour and a pleasure to call this album of the constant Scandinavian warriors their best work to date. Unleashed let their skilful "(Thor) Hammer battalion" march in such a gifted, strategic way through the unique compositions that every resistance is useless. The skills of the Swedes have greatly been bundled and ingeniously been combined.
