Brat Pack present a Hardcore-Punk concept, which reminds of the earlier albums of No FX and Adolescents. New York and Washington DC Hardcore-influences clash with poppy singing melodies.

    See If We Care

by Matthias Mader (14.07.2008) Euro hardcore’s boom days are definitely over. That doesn’t mean there are no good new hardcore acts in Europe any more. Especially the Netherlands stand out regarding quality acts time and again: take Brat Pack, for example, who, for a change, lean towards US West Coast hardcore. Rough and peppy but yet melodious, tracks like "Self-pity & ignorance" or "No questions asked" hit the spot and remind you of legends as D.I., Adolescents or early T.S.O.L.. That’s the way hardcore is supposed to sound - and it doesn’t matter wether its origin is in 1982 or in 2008. Quality matters - and the Dutch deliver. A great party cd, wreaking havoc to your wacky neighbour’s nerves. The sound’s a bit flat and muffled, though - but, hey, that’s old school!
