by Jan Sprave (12.08.2009) After their success album "Fire up the blades", Heavy Metal heavyweights 3 Inches Of Blood have changed their record label and went from Roadrunner to Century Media - which didn't change a thing regarding their style. It's brutal business as usual for the Canadian four: "Here waits thy doom" is an epitome of their clout. Deadly riffs reign supreme, singer Cam Pipes is a perfect bastard of Rob Halford or Udo Dirkschneider, and those catchy hooks will send shivers down your spine. The wonderful, organic production by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden), incredibly cocky and very dynamic, provides the album with the final finish - this fourth 3 Inches Of Blood output yells "Fuck digital!". You want original, yet crispy and innovating Heavy f**cking Metal? Here waits thy pleasure.
