by Oliver Kube (23.04.2009) This AOR project, consisting of vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (ex-Deep Purple / Rainbow), bassist Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), guitarist Uwe Reitenauer, and keyboardist Gunter Werno (Vanden Plas), has a perfect delivery when it comes to sound and instruments. Songs like "Forever now" and "Walk on" rock - but they're totally predictable... Other Melodic Rock bands dig deeply into the 80s when doing their stuff, but at least Journey, Hardline, Balance, House Of Lords & Co. have some unique own approach to the music... But the tracks on this second album - some well-known blokes did the co-composing: among others, Jim Peterik (Survivor), and Desmond Child (Bon Jovi, Kiss) - are very often lacking some kind of profile. Even ballads as "Say you will" or epic tracks à la "Save a place in your heart" are barely better than average - the only thing that keeps them (and the rest of the output) afloat is Turner's passionate vocal performance.
