Fear Factory was recommended by Cavalera and combined a hard, industrial sound with the pace of death metal. Their Roadrunner debut "Soul Of A New Machine" was released in 1992, but it was their "Demanufacture" from 1995, that was vital in putting the band in a worldwide focus. Further releases were "Remanufacture: Cloning Technology" in the following year (a remix album of "Demanufacture") as well as "Obsolete" (1998) and "Digimortal" (2001). Fear Factory’s "The Complete Roadrunner collection 1992-2001" furthermore includes their first demo album "Concrete", that had been recorded in 1991 but had been released in 2002 only.
