Appearing on black Vinyl.

Kaiser Chiefs, founded in Leeds in 2000, are one of the defining bands of their generation. With charismatic Ricky Wilson leading the way, Simon Rix on bass, Andrew 'Whitey' White on guitar, Nick 'Peanut' Baines on keyboards, and drummer Vijay Mistry, the band can boast a string of hits such as 'Oh My God', 'I Predict A Riot', 'Everyday I Love You Less and Less', 'Never Miss A Beat', and 'Hole In My Soul'.

Produced by Amir Amor (Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX), Kaiser Chiefs present a fresh and daring new sound on 'The Easy Eighth'. In addition to 'Feeling Alright', the Brits impress with tracks like the wild 'Beautiful Girl', the brass-heavy 'Job Centre Shuffle', the joyful 'Jealousy', and the reminiscent of old Brit-Pop roots 'The Lads'.

The album announcement follows the success of the Beautiful South-inspired single 'Jealousy' and the euphoric 'How 2 Dance'. The new single 'Feeling Alright' came about when Nile Rodgers visited the band in the studio. The band jammed on a few songs, and 'Feeling Alright' was the one that Rodgers particularly liked. The band always enjoyed playing it but didn't quite know where it fit. Nile turned out to be the perfect man for the song and almost immediately found a home for it. He also brought Amir Amor into the mix, who would go on to work on the entire album.
