by Jürgen Tschamler (14.07.2007) Clawfinger have left their marks in music history. Since then, much time has passed and Clawfinger are far from the status they had. Their last album, "Hate yourself with style" was but a convincing statement. With "Life will kill you" they are up for regaining lost ground. And they are on the right way. They may not be chasing bounce-tracks through the speakers but they surprise with well done Crossover, if this is still a genre that can be named. The distinctive refrains are missing, but still there are a lot of Clawfinger-typical riffs with edgy bounce-factor, such as in "Prisoners", e.g.. Interesting is also the avant-garde "Little baby" – very unusual but very worth listening. "None the wiser" is clearly going back to the (debut-) roots. Another edgy track is, e.g., "The price we pay", greatly pointing out the strengths of the band. It seems, Clawfinger are back in business!
