13.Living In The Fallout
by Jürgen Tschamler (09.07.2007) On their album the US quintet delivers solid Punk with lots of melodies. Typical Weast Coast sound - despite the fact that these guys come from New York. In the meantime they have moved to Boston. The friendship to the Dropkick Murphys has left some influences on the sound of Far From Finished. Especially the multi-choir vocal passages underpin this comparison. The songs are always provided with a pleasant hookline, so the 13 tracks are easily entering you ears and your mind. Also, the songs are extremely stress-free and have a happy mood factor which is quite outrageous for such a band from the East Coast. None of the songs is a filler, yet, there is no song that could be named as a special highlight – despite the fake-live track, "Wanna be a catastrophe", that one's really great. Very authentic. If this sound could really be preserved on stage, the next tour of the Americans is a must!
