by Sonja Angerer (10.04.2007) Fans of the classic Gothic Rock à la Sisters Of Mercy, Fields Of The Nephelim and The Mission, watch out: Elusive have modernised the sound of the 80s and the early 90s and provided it with phat Metallic elements. "Destination zero", the opener, e.g., ranges somewhere between wounded werewolf and post apocalyptic resignation. In "A thin line" with its desert-dry atmosphere may remind you, too, of Southern Death Cult (= the very early The Cult), yet this song is a bit easier accessible. "Another day" with its clear Electronc elements is a reminiscence to the Sisters Of Mercy at times of "First and last and always" (1985) and "Floodland" (1987). The song develops almost the same catchy galopp as "This Corrosion" and is similarly hit-compatible. Careful, extreme ear candy! "Into your arms" bows down for Carl McCoy and his troop and their main album, "Elizium" (1990) - a perfect album with some nostalgic element to it but without dull cliches.
