by Matthias Mader (15.07.2010) The first part of Sodom’s DVD "Lords of depravity" was a genuine cream cake. And of course, the second part also contains "a bouquet of colourful melodies", as said by Tom Angelripper! This time, we’re presented with a double DVD (more than 360 mins of total playing time). Ok, the early days have already been dealt with in the first part, but the band history from 1995 till 2009 is also very entertaining, and previously unreleased private, backstage, or interview footage sheds even more light on that era. Plus, we’ll also get live material galore - including the complete gig on the Wacken Open Air Festival when the band celebrated its 25th anniversary (2007), or the rare clips to "Fuck the police" and "City of god". The DVDs are stashed in a luscious carton slipcase with two booklets. It’s a pity that after these releases, we know everything there is to know about Sodom in re band history - I wish they’d do something like "Lords of depravity" every four years or so... Well, I guess you can’t have it all.
