by Jürgen Tschamler (29.01.2009) Danmark's most durable Rock export has recorded a new album which demonstrates their versatility. Many fans weren't happy with their last two CDs "Scare yourself" and "Soft dogs" - that must have led to some rethinking in the song writing department: "Monster philosophy" is a decent rocker and sometimes even reminds you of D.A.D.'s heyday when they delivered one goody after the other. Well, they sound a bit melancholic in 2008, but Rock still rules in this house. Be it a simple, kick-ass Punk song like "Beautiful together", a dry, neat opener à la "Revolution", or that groovy title track - D.A.D. strut their stuff and rock off. Even the calm moments on this album convince: "Milk and honey" is an enticing ballad, and the thoughtful "Too deep for me" is good airplay material. In a nutshell: D.A.D. are still a force to be reckoned with. Well done.
