by Jürgen Tschamler (27.01.2010) Mustasch have already surprised us now and then... Unfortunately, the first song on their new album "Mustasch" is a bad surprise. This track is not an epitome of the other material on the album at all. Which is good - because we get all the good stuff the Scandinavians are known for: mighty rhythms, great melodies and impressive bass lines galore. Just check out "Deep in the woods": what a monster (a potential smasher definitely)! Then, you can bang your head to "The man, the myth, the wreck", and "Damn it´s dark" is as catchy as can be. Singer Ralf Gyllenhammar sort of really lives the songs, adding an intense, unique identity to the band. All this is groove-laden Hard Rock, with juicy riffs, brilliant melodies, and the occasional Stoner element - in a nutshell: dirty, passionate Rock. Well done, boys.
