13.Ciarán's Well
by Markus Wosgien (03.02.2009) Ex-Nightwish songstress Tarja Turunen has reported back to the Metal community with her first solo album "My winterstorm", a wonderful treasure chest of beautiful, modern Gothic songs. In Germany, the likeable Finn started among the top three in the charts, in her home country, she already has reached multiple platinum status. 14 months after the release, her label offers an elaborately done rerelease, consisting of a poster and a 13-track bonus CD, including the new single "The seer", a fantastic duet of Tarja and German Rock Queen Doro Pesch. Another highlight: so far unreleased "Wisdom of the wind", and the great remix of the anthem "Lost northern star" by Pain / Hypocrisy master mind Peter Tägtgren. Further remixes of "The reign", "Die alive" and "Boy and the ghost" are also on it, as well as a full length version of "Calling grace". Four live recordings (of a concert in Kuusankoski/Finland), "Damned and divine", "You would have loved this", "Our great divide", and the epic "Ciaráns well" complete this recommendable re-release.
