10.Soilworker's song of the damned
by Antonius Clemens (01/02) Wow. There were probably few Death Metal fans, only who after the last releases of the Swedes were not at least a little curious on their new album. But when you first hear the ten songs of "Natural born chaos" you'll wonder why you didn't scratch on the door of the record dealer of your trust to open the door earlier. This album is simply the killer! All strengths of the band were improved, all weakness vanished. As we could hear in advance, Devin Townsend held his magic hands above the production and the result is a work of ingenious that can hardly be exceeded. Although Soilwork have put more attention on big melodies, the album is still very heavy and powerful. Strid's melodic vocals are even more effective, more harmonic and more impressive. Instrumentally, too, the band has improved their skills. The lead guitars, no the complete instrumental area has heavily matured and will bring you to your knees before the c.d. player. A killer album!
