by Markus Eck (19.02.2010) When Troll's cult album "Drep de kristne" was released back in 1996, Norway was one of the hopeful, spearheading nations regarding Black Metal, but Troll couldnt't really take advantage of it: several line-up changes and two mediocre and oddly experimental albums followed... Now, many years later, the horde's back on track, eager and ambitious! Their new output with the telling title "Neo-satanic supremacy" takes us back into the mid-90s with its incredibly fast, keyboard-ey, symphonic Melodic Black Metal bristling with icecold majestic sounds. Reminding you of early Arcturus and their epic and beautiful oevre, the atmosphere on this manifesto is almost sublime. If you love (the old) Dimmu Borgir, Covenant, Old Man’s Child, and Satyricon, this one's a must!
