by Lothar Landt (null) What an opening: with an intro with its choirs representing a mixture of Queen, "Carmina burana" and Pretty Maids' "Future world" and then culminating in a great uptempo-hymn. Congratulations. Double-bass-drums and sharp guitar-riffs lead the way. The next track, "Heart of the unicorn", reminds me of Judas Priest at "Painkiller"-times and is settled at the upper edge of Gamma Ray-heaviness. But we also get the typical Gammy ray-Melodic-Metallers (like e.g. "Final destination"), performed with controlled offensive and mostly featuring a great melodic guitar-solo. The result is a variable Gamma Ray-album with which Kai Hansen and his team should play in the premier league. The songs are powerful and energetic, and grow with each listening session. "No world order" is definitely my favourite in the long band's history.
