by Markus Eck (20.04.2009) A huge, devastating Death Metal juggernaut kills everything on its trail - the sixth Konkhra album "Nothing is sacred" leaves nothing but the smell of burnt earth. Death Thrash Metal aficionados know it’s the real shit right at the beginning of the brutal opening track "Hail to the king" trying to wreck your speakers relentlessly. The guitar sound on this new release is pure heavy lead - old school, the epitome of the genre. The production though, is pretty much state of the art and leaves nothing to be desired. Regarding composition, you’ll get some almost sage stuff: this band has been established in 1989! All songs are structured totally uncomplicated and comprehensible - that’s how this Danish Death combo and their fans want it. Generally, the uncompromising intentionally brutal new material convinces, and you feel the spirit of idealism: these are true believers in their art.
