by Markus Wosgien (19.02.2010) Tankard, the German kings of beer, were among the first bands making the trip to post-wall East Berlin and presenting their Alcoholic Thrash in front of an enthusiastic audience. "Open all night" was released on VHS shortly after, and now it is rereleased as a DVD with a lot of extra material. In March 1990, this legendary show was an incredible triumph, with a setlist that leaves nothing to desire. Apart from their evergreens like "(Empty) Tankard", "Chemical invasion", "Zombie attack", and "Alien", you'll also get these gems: "666 packs", "Donβt panic", or the awesome "Maniac forces". So much for the trip down memory lane - the DVD also contains their complete 2007 gig on German "Rock Hard Festival", the cult video clips for "Stay thirsty", "The beauty and the beer", and their footie anthem "Forza SGE", a tribute to their home team Eintracht Frankfurt. But that's not all - there's also many outtakes from the last three years, including the 20th anniversary party of their local pub, and festivals all around the world. "Open all night - Reloaded" is great fun. So, grab a beer and enjoy the show - Prost!
