by Jürgen Tschamler (null) When was the last time you really moshed your brains out? To music which was neither Hammerfall nor Rammstein nor Metallica but still created the feeling that it's totally honest and wild music? Music many people wouldn't accept as metal 'cause they can't think properly!? If the guitar screams, the vocalist shouts like a deciple of Satan and the songs are as short as the Hanson drummer then we are dealing with the basic elements of metal! And the Hellacopters are of the very rare heavy rock'n'roller type. It's perfectly all right that not everybody likes this kind of music, which isn't even bad since it prevents commercialism. The Scandinavians provide the listener with screaming garage rock'n'roll, pissed-off, fierceless and clicheless! It doesn't get any dirtier, more honest and thrilling. Those who dig Social Distortion, Rose Tattoo, Motörhead, The Stooges, Hanoi Rocks or the (really) old AC/DC stuff get some good entertainment for sleepless nights with "Payin'the dues"!
