by Sonja Angerer (05.04.2007) The name of the five piece Visual Kei-band is pronounced "ichi ni zero ichi ni" and according to the band legend refers to the U.S.-police code for "Dangerous possession of firearms". In their home country, the band founded in 2003 could already gather a lot of fans with their mix of Gothic Metal and Indie-elements; in Germany, "Play dolls" is their debut album. And what a debut that is: the opener, "Hermit" rocks metallic-like through the door like a drunken master with a very bad mood. Similarly aggressive appear "My room agony" and "Icy cold city", yet with a much more positive attitude. "Wiggle girls" and "Melancholy" are calmer, more Pop, but not dull - even if you don't understand the lyrics, the songs are very poetic in a subtle way. "Cheeky doll" is one highlight, a happy uptempo song in Hardrock manner (Aerosmith say hello). The best song, however, is the epic song, "The swim", a wonderful blend of piano sounds, finely accentuated with powerful riffs - a dream in 5:33 minutes.
