Excellent Service

The cover artwork is cool - and the music on "Powertrip" is cool, too. More Rock, less spheric and psychedelic. The title Track ,See you in hell’ and "Space Lord" have become absolute band classics.

Mastermind Dave Wyndorf almost died after the "Dopes to infinity"-tour of a breakdown due to excessive drug consumption, but he didn't change much afterwards. 'At the moment' he doesn't take drugs. What's about:'My live is a journey on the highway to hell and the drugs are my fuel....'Does it have any consequences for the sound of Monster Magnet? In this respect, yes! But this is not necessarily negative, since the songs are a lot more catchy and are not as playful. "Power trip", more fitting the title of the album couldn't have been, is brilliant psycho rock'n'roll. This is music which makes you raise havoc in your living room or simply makes you want to rock your balls of or plainly makes you think till your head bursts!
