by Markus Wosgien (07.01.2008) Cremtory have always been capable of writing hit-compatible hymns. On their new masterpiece, "Pray" you again find a whole bunch of hits that invite you to sing-a-long. At the same time, the Germans come closer to their roots and classics from the nineties. With "When darkness falls", already the opener ignites a firework that sets forth over the whole album. Once again, the perfect collaboration of the two singers, Felix and Matthias, guarantee some goose-flesh moments. One hit is chased by the next. "Left hand ground" is surprisingly Pop-orientated and reminds me a bit of "Greed", while the gloomy, romantic "Alone" could well have been on "… just dreaming". A bit calmer are "Sleeping solution", the midtempo hitter, "Have you ever", and the fantastic ear candy, "Just words". Each single one of the songs is a jewel in itself and presents Crematory at their best. Rounded off is the album with the ballad, "Say goodbye"; a farewell that hopefully only last for short.
