by Jürgen Tschamler (03/10) In 1999, Life of Agony finally broke, which was a painful experience not only ì for their fans but also for the scene in general. LOA had been musical ì frontrunners, they lived their ideas in a consequent way and opened the doors for ì many bands to come with their free style metal. In early 2003, the four original ì members came together for a re-union show. Since the show in the New Yorker ì Irving Plaza was sold out within 30 minutes, they decided to record it in order to ì present the historical event to the fans worldwide. The album title refers to ì their 1993 debut album, "River runs red" and shows a band with tremendous ì enthusiasm. The tension around the show can be heard in killers like "Weeds", ì "Bad seed", "River runs red" or "Seasons" to call but a few. The band had a lot ì of fun and the audience, too - a convincing recording with a fat sound ì presenting Life of Agony in best condition. Bonus tracks are from the current ì projects of the LOA members: Supermassiv, Among Thieves and Keith Caputo Solo. ì What a fine double album! (Jürgen Tschamler - 03/10)
