by Ralf Koch (29.09.2006) Just when I started to think if it is really necessary to crown every tour for a new album with another huge live-package, one view on the uniqueness of this 3-CD-set is enough to nip every criticism in the bud. This is not just another live document, these recordings are another killer! "Images And Words" - "Metropolis 2" - "Score" could be the line because what they didn't manage with their last studio album "Octavarium", is now fulfilled with this live document: the setting of a new milestone. For their 20th anniversary the band made a show together with a complete orchestra and performed a 150-minute highlight-set that leaves you breathless and causes you shivers down the spine. E.g. in order to not leave keyboarder Jordan Rudess unemployed by the orchestra he brings himself in with some splendid solos. The whole band glows for fascination about this unique event and the atmosphere is fantastic. Also available as a 2-DVD-set (with an identical song list, but with many extras).
