10.Love Song For Lucifer
by Riccardo Manazza (17.10.2007) Finally! After four years, the Swedish hell hounds return to the surface and with "Serpent saints" throw up one of the rawest bastards in their career. After their change from Death Metal to more groove orientated sounds, Entombed has been referred to as Death Rock. And to be honest, this term never fitted better than today. Because after they had become much slower first, they now speed it up again, resulting in a groove that you just cannot escape from. Don't get me wrong, also "Serpent saints" is featuring slow songs, but it's exactly this variation that makes up the incredible dynamics of the album. The Swedes have always been good in terms of killer riffs and death growls from hell and the new album is no exception. The production is rough and kicks ass. Entombed? A sure shot!
