The band features the legendary drummer Chris Reifert, who began his career with US metal giants Death before taking on the unusual task of drums and vocals for Autopsy. Autopsy has influenced an entire generation of extreme metal bands, from Entombed and Dismember to Darkthrone. Severed Survival is rightfully celebrated as one of the best releases in death metal.
