The Mission was founded by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams after falling apart from their band The Sisters of Mercy, or more precisely, with singer Andrew Eldritch. At first the new band was called The Sisterhood. After they changed the name to The Mission, they were able to build on the success of their former band. After countless live albums and 9 studio albums that were recorded between 1986 and 2013, the singles will be released on an album titled "Singles". 7" versions and remixes of well known The Mission songs, like "Afterglow", "Like a Child Again" or "Into the Blue", are also included.
