Product description

Wednesday 13 returns with his third album "Skeletons" with a bang!

Wednesday 13 himself calls "Skeletons" his most personal album which, next to the common Horror overtones, is formed by his depressions, despairs and the battle which almost caused his early death.

Produced by no one less than Andrew Akelel (The Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Nine Inch Nails). Wednesday 13 says about this: "Originally I wanted to produce the album myself, but as talented as Andrew is, it was a must to work together with him. It is really exciting to hear how he inspires the songs with even more life!"

by Yvonne Zymolka (10.07.2008) "Skeletons" is already the third album by Wednesday 13 since the Murderdolls fell apart in 2004, but the first to close the gap between all those catchy tunes on "Beyond the valley of the murderdolls" and this one - the other two albums didnโ€™t quite comply with that task. Okay, this is a luxury complaint, with Wednesday 13 being Horror Punkโ€™s Ville Valo, if you pardon the comparison. He plays with well-known lines ร  la "A penny for your thoughts", black humour, and even darker private revealments - the ever-angry teenager from North Carolina is a true successor of Alice Cooper and Kiss, and thereโ€™s even a dash of Marilyn Manson, like in "Not another teenage anthem" or "Gimme gimme bloodshed". Wednesday 13 doesnโ€™t need to "steal", though - "Skeletons", with its Eighties melancholy twist in that otherwise endorphin-drenched sound, proves that. Talking of sound: this was done by no lesser than Andrew Akelel (Foo Fighters, NIN). Wednesday 13 is showing his teeth on "Skeletons" - and as you can see on those x-rays in the booklet, theyโ€™re in good condition. This skeleton is a must in your closet!
