In the last years, Brainstorm have become one of the most consistent and most reliable German metal bands. Their records so far have all been good, the last one, "Metus Mortis" surely their best release so far. Yet: the benchmark is corrected upwards with this new album, "Soul Temptation". Especially the increased progressive elements and the fabulous rhythmic guitars have to be mentioned explicitly. One who takes profit from this is also singer Andy B. Franck, who finally presents the variety of melodies his voice is capable of. 11 great songs make "Soul Temptation" a very well done album, in the digipack edition even featuring a bonus track ("Amarillo" of Tony Christie fame) as well as the additional DVD "Live Suffering" presenting the band's gig on the Summerbreeze Festival 2002 - all that for just one Euro more.
