by Sonja Angerer (null) The Industrial-heroes shorten the time of waiting for the next studio album with a recording of their world-tour 1996. Moneymaking or a time-document? That question is answered already with "Psalm 69". Because after the monumental intro, Al Jourgensen and his companions hit the chords so heavily that you wish to have been present at the Montmartre back then. The live-atmosphere pairs up perfectly with the very detailed production when Ministry rock through "Just one fix", "N.W.O" and "Filth pig". What a pity that their biggest hit, "Jesus built my hotrod" is missing, although practically all tracks come from "Psalm 69" (1992) and "Filth pig" (1996). Also from the older tracks, only "Thieves" of "The mind is a terrible thing to taste" (1989) is featured. Probably because the former live-album (1990) already covers that early period. At least: "Sphinctour" features the commercially most successful era of the band and alone because of that - but also for the great recording quality - can almost be seen a "Best of". Recommendable not only for fans.
