Product description

"Sports day at Killaloe" is a CD, on which already the opener "Bugger off" cracks: Irish Speedfolk at its best! Next to own compositions a hand full of traditionals is to be heard - raw like in "Life full of pain", powerful like in "Strike back", playful like in "7 drunken sailors" and exhilarate like Reggae ("Change").

    Apology

by Oliver Kube (29.01.2009) This is another Must Buy for fans. If you’re one of those who just have discovered Punk spiced up with Celtic folklore because of the success of such US bands like Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly: go catch up! After all, these stars have already released ten studio and two live albums within the last two decades. As a start, their new CD would be perfect for checking out this genre: packed with 19 energetic and versatile songs, it makes for a great evening and offers a nice potpourri of the band’s repertoire. Incredibly fast drinking songs ("Sporting day" or "Life full of pain"), pure Folk ("This old man"), or Reggae-inspired stuff ("Change"), and food for thought ("Down by the hillside" and "Apology") - here, you get it all. Be swift and get "Sports day at killaloe" in a limited edition with a bonus disc, including nine acoustic tracks plus the video clip for "Bugger off".
