Deeply rooted in Metal, especially Belgian Hardcore bands with their brute uptempo sound are a found grub for every musically even least open-minded Metalhead. The M-town boys from Backfire! (for quarrels about the name shortly on the go as BF!) have always been the advertisement for the typical BeNeLux-sound. With "Still dedicated" they have even oriented into the direction of Punk Rock, which didn't steal the album anything of its raw, blunt violence. With this sound, those adjectives that one rather avoids with every other genre, really serve as definitely positive adjectives. Absolutely great are "No turning back" featuring Danny of Deviate and especially the final title-track "Still dedicated" featuring Convict-singer Bert with a guest-appearance on the microphone, because his vocals, reminding me of the praised Gorilla Biscuits, represent the perfect counterpart to Pat's fat roaring vocals.
