by Mape Ollila (07.10.2007) With "Street poetry", Finland's Sleaze-Rocker No. 1, Hanoi Rocks, present a great sucessor to their sovereign 2005-album, "Another hostile takeover". While the first single, released prior to this album, "Fashion" was a lot one had to swallow, you can be relieved about what to expect on the album. "Fashion" is the only weak spot on an album that for the rest only features great songs. For example the saxophone-driven "Worth your weight in gold", the ass-kicking "Hypermobile" and the groovy "Power of persuasion", all of them well-done Hanoi Rocks-songs with frontman Michael Monroe adding his own stamp to them. The very 70s-like "Teenage revolution" clearly reminds me of The Sweet and soon becomes an earwig. "Powertrip" is one of the tightest songs on the album run through by an edgy slide guitar. Shortly: if you've liked Hanoi Rocks, you'll love this new album!
