by Olaf Plotke (07.10.2007) To be honest: this is one of the most unusual records I have heard in years. I can hardly describe it – I couldn't do justice to the music, anyway. Well, I'll try nonetheless to explain my enthusiasm. Witchcraft sound different from the first tone on. With this name you could guess Black Metal but the Swedes play purest 60s-Rock. Both in terms of style and production. Just listen to "Samaritain burden" – sounds to me like a mixture of The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. And with its great bass-line, "Leva" could also be from Steppenwolf. Still, none of the songs sounds copied or stolen but just refreshingly like good old times. Awesome. I'm addicted to this album. The only thing that's missing is the cracking noise of the record player on the vinyl. Remember that? Those were the days…
