The so far ninth album by the pioneers of NU Metal, P.O.D. (Payable On Death) around Sonny Sandoval is in the starting blocks. Following the acoustic album "SoCal Sessions", the Californians are back with a new studio work which was desperately needed after the album "Murdered Love" from 2012. "The awakening" combines all strengths of the quartet and ties seamlessly in with previous successes. The awakening album, produced by long-term staff member and friend Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Kelly Clarkson), contains 10 songs as well as guest contributions by Maria Brink from In This Moment and Lou Keller from Sick Of It All.
