by Oliver Kube (11.04.2009) "The metal concert to end all metal concerts" that’s the subtitle on the cover of this double DVD. On December 15th, 2005, the worldwide operating and successful record company Roadrunner celebrated their 25th anniversary, and there was a lot of interesting stuff to see and hear. Like on the "Roadrunner United" studio CD, there was an all star band with constantly rotating artists on stage in the Nokia Theatre in New York - among others, members of Biohazard, Deicide, Slipknot/Stone Sour, Annihilator, Fear Factory, Machine Head, Sepultura, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Coal Chamber, Tim "Ripper" Owens, Ville Valo, Keith Caputo, Scott Ian and Brian Fair. Together, they thrashed and ploughed through two hours of selected tracks from the label’s opulent catalogue material - a unique event which obviously was a lot of fun for the musicians. The sound and the footage quality on this are more than average, and the second DVD also contains a 75 minutes long documentary with extensive interviews of the participants - you get real value for money here..
