14.Dregs (Akustische Version)
by Stefan Frohne (11.07.2007) After Three took all their time for their first steps of their career, "The end is begun" is now already the second album within 18 months: It can basically be said that all fans of demanding, heavy Rock music should check out the 13 new songs. Three play with dynamics in a sovereign way that we only know of bands, like Porcupine Tree. Complexity doesn't evolve from the presentation of artistic potentials but by both head- and soul-compatible arrangements. You shouldn't be mistaking to search the musical level of Three in regions of triviality. Joey Eppard's and Billy Riker's guitars are unbelievably accentuated. Even in the distorted passages, you can see that these are artists who would even stand the test of a Flamenco concert. Fitting adequately is the warm sounding production with an almost analogue flair representing the topping on the ice for this album. Very well done!
