Product description

Lalu is a music project that was founded in 2004 by French composer and producer Vivien Lalu, son of Noelle and Michel Lalu (members of the French progressive band Polène from the 70s). 'The Fish Who Wanted to be King' is the band's fourth album and is a significant creative and production leap forward. Musically, the album approaches progressive rock, which emerged mainly in the 80s and has now further evolved after the explosion of progressive metal. With a lineup that is stronger than ever, featuring vocalist Damian Wilson (formerly of Threshold and regular collaborator of Arjen Lucassen), Joop Wolters on guitar and bass, Jelly Cardarelli on drums, and collaborative keyboard work with Matt Daniel, Vivien Lalu has managed to create a fabulous album with extraordinary, cinematic, and atmospheric progressive music. Technically flawless and emotionally touching, 'The Fish Who Wanted to be King' tells an original story.
