by Jürgen Tschamler (03/10) Errrm, did I miss something? Unbelievable, the enormous progression My ì Ruin attack the listeners' ears with on their new album "The horror of beauty". ì The albums so far have been nice but not with any special long-term effect. This ì opinion has to be revised for the new album. Tarrie B. approaches the songs so ì angrily, so pissed off you literally can hear that she doesn't giveì a shit about anything at the moment. The powerful riff-carpet delivered by ì Mick Murphy steamrolls everything down, the rhythm section rages unbelievably and ì the whole album sounds so fresh and unspent that you begin to wonder how they ì managed to capture this spirit. These 14 hateful, fierce but very well arranged ì songs have become a permanent guest in my player meanwhile. The songs are ì perfectly balanced, yet my faves are the faster ones, such as "Spitfire", ì "Made to measure", "Ten minutes to Hollywood" or the bloody "Get ì pretty". No nu metal, no true metal, just raw violence. A bringer of evil! ì (Jürgen Tschamler - 03/10)
