11.Altitudes (Piano Version)
by Matthias Mineur (13.04.2006) The release of two new studio albums within 14 days shows: Luca Turilli justifies his reputation as a restless workaholic more than ever. Hardly that his main band, Rhapsody makes a break the solo ideas come floating out of him. Like on the predecessor records, 'King Of The Nordic Twilight' and 'Prophet Of The Last Eclipse, on 'The Infinite Wonders Of Creation', Turilli collaborates with the approved strengths: Olaf Hayer sings, the Heavens Gate-musicians, Sascha Paeth and Robert Hunecke-Rizzo played the drums and the bass. Musically, the fan will find everything the Italian is famous for: symphonic passages, fast rhythms, classic elements and great atmospheres. Turilli devotes his music and its theme to the wonder of nature, yet not in the way Novalis once described it but rather with a critical point of view full of contradictions and contrasts. Which, of course, only refers to the lyrics; musically, this album sounds like a perfect unit.
