A brand new album from the world of the popular Netflix Viking series is on its way: 'The Last Kingdom: Destiny Is All' will be released digiheighty and physically on April 21st via A&G Songs LTD. It was created and co-composed by the Emmy-winning, classically trained Scottish composer John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen), the Faroese singer-songwriter and Icelandic music award winner Eivør, and composer Danny Saul (The Last Kingdom, NBC's Law and Order: Organized Crime, Shetland, Jamestown). The album will be released following the premiere of the newly announced The Last Kingdom movie 'Seven Kings Must Die,' which will air on Netflix on April 14th as a continuation of the last season.

The Last Kingdom (produced by Carnival Films) is among the top 20 most streamed series worldwide, with 10.4 billion streams, and the music from the series has been streamed over 22 million times globally to date.

The album features the unmistakable, unique voice of Eivør, renowned for her otherworldly throat singing, which is featured as the only vocals in the entire film score of The Last Kingdom series (which she also co-composed with Lunn) and on her own nine acclaimed albums. Her music can also be heard in the film score and soundtrack of the video game God of War Ragnarök and during her captivating live shows.

As the winner of the 2022 Nordic Council Music Prize (previously won by Björk), Eivør is part of a new wave of Nordic artists (alongside artists like Wardruna and Heilung) rapidly building an enthusiastic international fanbase with her music that honors ancient cultural and musical folklore. At the last count, Eivør's music has already been streamed over 95 million times.

This album includes music created for the soundtracks of the fourth and fifth seasons of The Last Kingdom, as well as new material that will be heard for the first time in Seven Kings Must Die.
